Google's official app allows you to have other apps on your Android device read text aloud to you. It is important to note that Google's Speech Recognition and Synthesis feature is not compatible with all Android apps, only a select few. Two of the most important apps it works with are Google Play Books and Google Translator. With Google Play Books, you can listen to the audio versions of books on your device, while Google Translator allows you to hear translations spoken out loud.
To activate the voice feature, you need to navigate to the settings, select Language and Text Input, and choose Google's text-to-speech engine as your default option. Although the app has limited compatibility with other Android apps, it can still be a useful tool for accessing audio content and translations.
